Yes, these are heavy and completely solid. Last 2 photos show an example of how these fabulous posts were used in the Victorian Era. Photo 10 shows an example of the squarehead nails used to attach the C.1875 hand and foot rails. 3 Tall posts are complete with one finial featuring intricate details. Both top and bottom will have a spinning top point as photos will show. 5 total post will have tops and bottoms with 1 post missing top and smallest post will both. The smallest is a nice piece for use as the Newel Post. Photos will show cut out areas from previous staircase and flooring trim. I did cut the screws and nails sticking out for safety reasons. All will be flush with the wood and will need removal for future work, all can be seen. 3 tall posts vary slightly with height 90 1/2", 89 3/4" and 89 1/2". Post 4 thru 7 are listed in descending order 75 3/4", 70", 66 1/4" and smallest 42 1/2". All have a center measurement of 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" and top diameter is 7 1/2". 6 of the 7 posts will have 3 paneled sides with 1 flat side. 1 post, 4th from left, will only have 2 paneled sides and 2 flat sides. Tallest posts weigh approximately 75 lbs each with smallest approx. 30 lbs. Estimated weight for shipping purposes will be 400 lbs.
