There was a small chip towards the lower right edge of the face of the flower which has been professionally repaired (see photos) via a modern kintsugi technique. The repair process includes 24 karat gold leaf for aesthetic appeal and epoxy for strength. Aside from the repair, this lovely little box has no other defects.
