Description: 1010071DALE CARNEGIE_______*________LincolnTHE UNKOWN DCC.DALE CARNEGIE & ASSOCIATES, INC. FROM THE FOREWORD BY DALE CARNEGIE I went over to the British Museum Library and read a number of Lincoln books; and the more I read, the more fascinated I became. Finally I caught on fire and I was determined to write a book about Lincoln myself. I knew that I had not the urge, temperament, training or ability necessary to produce a learned treatise for the benefit of scholars and historians. Besides, I believed there was little need for another book of that kind, for many excellent one were already in existence. However, after reading many Lincoln volumes, I did think there was a genuine need for a short biography that would tell the most interesting facts about his career briefly and tersely for the average busy and hurried citizen of today. I have tried to write such a book. WHAT IS THE DALE CARNEGIEORGANIZATION? The Dale Carnegie* organization is an outgrowth of the original program begun by Dale Carnegie in 1912. Today it is one of the world's largest adult training organizations for individual and company personnel enrolling more than 90,000 people annually in the United States, Canada and approximately fifty countries abroad. More than 2,500,000 million individuals have been graduated from the six courses offered: Dale Carnegie Course* in Effective Speaking and Human Relations, Dale Carnegie Sales Course*, Dale Carnegie Management Seminar*,Dale Carnegie*Customer Relations Course Dale Carnegie*Personnel Development Course and Dale Carnegie*Customer Relations and Personnel Development Course. The course are presented in the United States and countries abroad by Sponsors who operate under a license from Dale Carnegie & Associates, Inc., whose offices are in New York. When you talk with a licensed Dale Carnegie* organization representative in your community, you are talking with local business person who has a stake in your community. Neither this person nor this person's staff, nor the carefully selected and highly trained instructors are going back to some distant headquarters after you have completed one of the courses. The Dale Carnegie* organization is constantly revising and updating all its courses in order to keep pace with the education explosion that is occurring throughout the world. THE DALE CARNEGIE COURSE* More than 1 1/2 million men and women have taken the Dale Carnegie Course* as a basic part of their adult education program. The Dale Carnegie Course* helps you build poise and self-confidence, teaches you more effective ways to communicate with others and to give a positive account of yourself in real life situations. Equally important, it can help you understand other people even better, find a new ability to absorb knowledge and absorb it faster. DALE CARNEGIE SALES COURSE* For salespeople and sales executives who are concerned with selling performance and cost reduction. It is an organized time-saving method of teaching motivational selling - bringing quick results. It teaches the salesperson both sides of the motivational coin - self-motivation as well as customer-motivation. The program requires no loss of selling time. Training sessions are held evenings and can be easily made up if missed. It teaches salespeople where to find the courage and self-confidence to call on and stay with toughest customer.
