Description: This is Lionel Polar express set 711803 complete with batteries, Conductor figure, extra passenger car with disappearing hobo figure and prototypical 2-8-4 Berkshire wheels. This set uses 54mm gauge track (Ready to play gauge) similar size to G scale trains but not compatible with G gauge track. Train set is battery operated and is ready to run with remote. Batteries are held inside locomotive. Includes 32 pieces of track to build a 73x50 inch oval for under Christmas tree or anywhere. Set is slightly dusty, used once last December. The locomotive has 3D printed 4 axle rear trucks painted black for a Prototypical look. Paint may wear over time. Original wheel set included, simply use screwdriver to replace. The disappearing hobo car was originally designed for G gauge but I have modified the wheel base with epoxy glued spacers to accommodate Ready to play gauge track. See pictures. Wheels fit on track but the rear truck may have a wobble only discernable upon very close scrutiny. Sound, lights and remote work flawlessly. I will NOT ship in original box.
