Please have confidence in my 100% honest descriptions and please read the following carefully: This is an Original, No. 671 Pennsylvania S-2 "Steam Turbine" Locomotive, Produced by The Master Craftsmen of The Lionel Corporation, in this version, ONE YEAR ONLY in 1946. This loco came to me, pretty much exactly as you see it. It's been on my "to do" list for many years, but now its time to let someone else have all the fun. Winter is coming and you need a cellar project, right??? I put power to it and runs forward, neutral & reverse. The big "smoke bulb" works as well. The whistle in the tender blows. All that said, these items really need to be completely disassembled, cleaned & properly lubricated before they will run up to their potential. I believe virtually everything about this set to be 100% original, with the possible exception being the "red" E-unit drum. I don't think they did red in 1946, but I could be wrong. The front tender truck has the pick-up roller broken off. I am including an unbroken one, which you can install, but it has the later style roller, please see photos. One body mounting screw for the tender is missing. Other than the above description, I am selling this loco & tender based ENTIRELY on the photos, so please look them over carefully. Anyway, these old eyes don't see like they used to, so I ask that you take the time to "ZOOM IN" and look the photos over very closely, to determine for yourself just what we have here.
