Description: Up for Sale is an original Lionel Prewar 227 Semi-Scale B6 Switcher w/ 2227B Bell-Ringing Tender circa 1940. This variant features “low” couplers for semi-scale 2900 Series & 2700 Series Cars, “whistle”-activated couplers, and 227 Boiler Plate (omitted on late versions). The Engine is in excellent cosmetic condition with crisp numbering along with some wear along edges. The Engine was fully cleaned & serviced, motor runs smoothly, the e unit cycles properly, headlight works, and front coupler is functional. Note for Engine that a handrail Stanchion Ball detached from support but was shifted to correct location (see pic) and the front pickup was epoxied to frame to prevent rotation (see pic). The Tender has more wear than Engine but lettering is visible, the handrails and markers are intact, Light works, Bell works, and rear coupler functions. Note for Tender that a step may have been repaired (see pic), there may be paint touch-ups along bolts, there is minor oxidation, there is moderate wear/rub, the power leads were re-wired with aux pins, and a single gold marker jewel is missing.
