THIS UNSTATED FIRST EDITION COPY IS IN GOOD TO VERY GOOD CONDITION CONSIDERING IT IS 74 YEARS OLD BUT DOES HAVE MANY TEARS ON THE PAGES, see below. Molly & her Daddy visit the zoo in the summertime when there are lots of babies to see. They see lions, tigers, polar bears & deer. Molly rides on a camel, eats lunch while she & Daddy watch the sea lion being fed. As they enjoy their ice cream they see colorful birds & American eagles, giraffe, kangaroo, elephant & chimpanzees. They have saved the children's zoo till last where Molly makes a wish on the Wishing Seat. One the way home, she shares her wish with her Daddy, which is to visit the zoo again. The last page has the words & music to a song, "A Day at the Zoo". Marks: No name, tape, marks or writing on pages or covers. Tears: To a top page edge a 3/16" tear, a 3/16" to a side edge while to bottom edges three of 1/16" one with a fold, two of 3/16" one with a fold, a 1/4" tear, a 3/8", three of 1/2" one with a fold, two of 5/8", one of 3/4" with a fold, a 1", a 1/14" & 1 1/16" both with a fold. Corners: Page have slight bends with a 1/16" top tip fold & a teeny, tiny one to a bottom tip. Cover are soft with paper cover loss showing while & the board. Binding: Very tight, foil is bright with loss at top & bottom, front & back edges as well as spotty loss on spine edges; top spine corner has 1/4" foil loss with a 3/16" loss to bottom corner + spine edge corners have some foil loss. Cover: Front has shallow paper cover loss to board edges including the board edge along the binding showing white, two shallow dents between the two bars on the right above the cub, paper cover separation of 1/16" at bottom edge in groove where book bends + separation on inside front cover at binding to all save 3/8" at the very top. Back has spotty paper cover loss to bottom board edge, a 5/8" paper cover loss at bottom edge in groove, several shallow dents along the top board edge, a 2 1/4" paper cover separation at top edge in groove with a 3 7/8" separation at bottom edge + separation the full length at binding on inside of back cover.
