Description: “Little Round Top" by noted Civil War artist, Don Troiani, is a signed and numbered original lithograph (#325 of 1500) with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Part of the artists GETTYSBURG series, this scene depicts the July 2, 1963 attack of the 5th Texas on Little Round Top where, after fighting their way through Devil's Den and up the exposed rocky hillside, met heavy opposition from the 40th New York. General Longstreet, who commanded this assault during the second day of fighting, later called the attack "the best three hours' fighting ever done by any troops on any battle field." Please see the certificate in the photos, which gives a detailed history of this event. I'm a genuine fan of Don Troiani's vivid work and commitment to accuracy in depicting civil war military history. Image size is 26-3/4" x 20"; Overall size is 30-7/8" x 24-5/8" This print has never been framed or displayed and has been stored flat in an acid-free print holder in a dark, climate-controlled and smoke-free environment. I've been the only owner and the print is in absolute mint condition.
