Description: LIVE CARNIVOROUS "VENUS FLYTRAP" Dionaea muscipula, Exotic Tropical Fly Trap Plant Venus Flytrap Typical, Dionaea muscipula, is a hungry insect-eating plant! Trap color varies and is dependent on the amount of light the plant gets, with the deeper reds showing under bright light. My plants are not illegally harvested and I do not support such activity. They are grown from seed purchased from reputable and trusted plant suppliers. Seedling and juvenile plants have fully functioning snapping bug traps that catch flies, mosquitoes, gnats, fruit flies and most winged and crawling insects such as ants and spiders. ☞ My plants are shipped bare-root, wrapped in damp sphagnum moss. ☞ My photos are representative of the species, and not the specific plant shipped.
