They are hand-carved and hand-painted of copal wood in Central Mexico where I travel regularly to select affordable high quality and imaginative pieces. This is great carving with a coiled tail and toes with red toenails. The painting is outstanding. It is in tons of intertwined colors with patterns of leaves and flowers On the back of the lizard there is a large coiled tail cat and a scorpion is superimposed on the lizard's tail. This large piece is approximately 11" long and 10 1/2 " wide. This lizard would be a fabulous addition to any collection.
