Description: Group of 2 Black glass, deep olive green, beer or ale bottles, in excellent, damage free condition. Both bottles are blown in a 3 piece mold and each has a tooled applied large square collar mouth . They are both approximately 9.5 inches inches tall and 2.25 to 2.5 inches wide across the diameter of the base. There are no visible cracks, chips or dings that I can see. There are some minor scuff marks on both but nothing else significant. One of the older late 1860's era bottle that was made right after the pontil period has a deep recessed base with 6 raised dots around the bottom edge. The other bottle should date to around the 1880' s era and is embossed on the base : N & Co. 635. Please ask if you have any questions about these quality bottles.
