Description: Lot of TWO (2) used empty 50 CAL Tall Metal ARMY/USMC Military Ammo Can O.D. Green color each Can is similar to the M2A1 (the .50-Cal can) except that this is 2.8" TALLER. These cans held electronic-proximity fuzes for the 105mm, 155MM, 8-inch Howitzer, 4.2" mortar, and 175mm Gun. Very Heavy Duty Each can weighs about 6-1/2 Lbs. Outer measurement approximately 12" x 6" x 10". Interior of Cans are in great condition. The exterior may have a few minor scratches, small dings, dents, oxidation spots and or tar like substance from field use. Latch operates as it should & draws lid down tight making a firm water tight seal. Top handle is very secure: lifts up or lays down flat against the lid. Hinged lid is easily removed, if desired, as shown in photos. Lid has side skirt The rubber sealing gaskets are in great shape. All cans have matching lids.
