Description: Lot of 9 vintage issues of "Arabians" magazine in various conditions -- all acceptable, some nearly very good for their age. This was a high quality magazine back in the day, with great feature articles (as shown in the photos) and beautiful color ads from all the premier breeders of the era printed on high quality paper. Lots of photos of the horses of the era that are alternative photos to those published in the World, News, and Times. While I personally found the binding not to be as durable as Arabian Horse World, the paper quality and quality of the color photos, especially in later issues, was as good as it gets. Many of the issues have a loose page or two or three, but no missing pages, no tears, and no markings except for a small notation of the date on the cover of the July 1983 issue. The December 1983 issue has a loose front cover, as shown. Personally, I prefer to let these issues age gracefully rather than attempting to glue or tape the pages or covers back together, but it can be done. None of the flaws noted interfere with the content and most of the pages are otherwise crisp, clean, and white (with the exception of intentionally tinted paper in some features). 7 of the 9 issues have no "vintage" (musty) smell that is often associated with vintage magazines. 2 of the issues (Nov/Dec 1982, Jan 1983) have a very faint musty smell. I'm pretty sensitive to smell and they don't bother me, which is why I included them rather than putting them in the recycle bin. They will be packaged separately in plastic and labeled, out of consideration for anyone who may be sensitive.
