Description: LOVELY antique/vintage Italian designer ornate sterling silver hand-carved cameo pendant with chain. This wonderful necklace features an antique/vintage sterling silver hand-carved cameo pendant that is 1 5/8” long by 7/8” wide with a bezel set, beautifully carved cameo featuring a lovely woman in profile, left-facing, which is unusual. The majority of cameos feature the woman in profile, right-facing. This lovely lady has delicate features and a gorgeous flowing coiffure. The setting is equally well done in bright sterling silver with fine rope detail around the bezel, a spring ring pin fastener and a hidden flip-up bail through which the newer vintage curb link chain is threaded. The chain looks nearly new. It is 18” long, a curb link with a spring ring clasp that is stamped “925”. The pendant is also stamped “925”, as shown in my last photo. This cameo necklace is in very good antique/vintage condition with no damage other than very minor, age appropriate surface wear or oxidation. It has been professionally tested as solid sterling silver and the cameo has been verified as hand-carved conch shell by a certified gemologist.
