Description: This is a very well-preserved, solid piece of Stigmaria (root portion of a Lycopsid tree- either Sigillaria or Lepidodendron), from the Carboniferous Period of Morocco. The piece is well-preserved with the circular scars from the 'rootlets' clearly evident in places. The piece is solid weighing 2.7 lbs, and is 8.0 inches long, 4.5 inches at its widest and 1.75 inches thick. All of my fossils are guaranteed authentic and have been legally obtained.
