Described by the Nusratty's on the menu's epilogue as "the first and only restaurant to offer the unique cuisine of Afghanistan," this menu is presumed to be from the early days of the restaurant--either 1972 or 1973---when their liquor license was being verified as each page is marked at the bottom margin with the phrase "temporary menu" and only beer and wine is offered, all prior to the opening of their cocktail lounge in 1974.(Oakland Tribune (Oakland, CA), 26 April 1974). Very good condition, illustrated folder is twice hole-punched at spine with edge wear and light creasing around spine and some scuffing and dactyl marks to lower cover, loose and staple-bound leaves are lightly worn and creased at top margins with minimal soiling.
