Description: MICHAEL PRATER SIGNATURE SERIES KNIVES, JUST ADDED A 3 1/4" RANGE RIDER, A 3- BLADE POCKET KNIFE. He used Banded Chrysocolla scales which are not only beautiful, these are a semi rare Gem-stones also. The knife has Brass Liners, Nickel Silver Bolsters, German ROSTFREI HC Stainless Steel Blades, 3- Blades 1- Clip Point, 1- Sheepsfoot & 1- Pen blade all very sharp and tight with snap. The knife used is a Valley Forge Cutlery brand, a Range Rider style Model # VF-910MP/CHR, Weight 1.9oz. Valley Forge knives are made in Newark, NJ. which is stamped right on the blade. But on the clip point you will see Pakistan etched please just ingore that or don't its there. Valley Forge knife company buys their blades from the Bertram Cutlery Plant in Solingen Germany. They have some knives assembled in Pakistan this is why you will see the name. You will also see Michael Praters signature on the other side. Back to the scales,- We looked up Chrysocolla in the SMITHSONIAN ROCK and GEM BOOK, And on page 266 you can see this Gemstone is listed as very rare, and when it is found its normally with Opals and its only mined in 3 places in the world. Back in the day, the Greeks called it chrysos meaning Gold. We purchased these knives back in early June of 2024, if you like what you see please have at one.
