'Sugary Cinnamon Pumpkin' is a nod to the second harvest evoking thoughts of pumpkin-picking under a full moon. From the cozy warmth of sugary cinnamon and vanilla to the earthy undertones of dried autumn leaves balanced by buttery pumpkin. 'Sugary Cinnamon Pumpkin' is a nostalgic, yet quintessential scent of autumntime that brings warmth to the soul with its lusciously spicy and sweet pumpkin aroma. ~*~ The fall equinox, or the witch's thanksgiving to some, is named after the Celtic God Mabon. Mabon occurs during a celestial event and therefore is celebrated on varying days in late September typically between the 21st-23rd in the northern hemisphere due to the balance of the Earth's tilt. Like Lugh, Mabon is a multifaceted God, but during this time he is honored as the God of the harvest. So rejoice in this new season, and give thanks for the abundance of food for winter is near. As Samhain approaches, this sabbat reminds us of the transition from light to darkness for there is balance in all of existence, let nature, the Goddess, and God remind us of this. From seed to plant, from burrow, den, nest, and tree, each living creation plans for future generations to succeed and be born anew as winter retreats. So share in thanksgiving with whom you care as we prepare for the opening of the veil, the end of the cycle, and the rebirth of the sun God in the winter solstice as the Holly King reigns supreme and the Crone becomes the Maiden once more. ~*~ Each element of this mix has been carefully selected and thoughtfully combined in darker tones to suit your dark aesthetic home decor while paying homage to Mabon and the second harvest. To pay respect to this sabbat and the Celtic God Mabon, we chose the following symbols the pentagram, acorns, pumpkins, maple, and oak leaves, as well as a dried bouquet of autumn-inspired botanicals. The pentagram, a beloved symbol of knowledge by many, is associated with the bounty of the harvest, the apple, for when you slice an apple across its width the shape its seed compartments make is that of a five-pointed star. As we enjoy the apple harvest appreciate the cyclical nature of life, death and rebirth, and trust in the knowledge nature holds. Raw amethyst and labradorite crystals were chosen as conduits for energy work. As Samhain approaches spirits, benevolent and malevolent, may make themselves known more frequently. Raw amethyst may aid in emotional grounding, intuition, transmuting negative energy into positive, and psychic ability. Whilst labradorite may enhance our connection with our higher selves, the divine and hidden realms, aiding in much-needed transformation and change as we step into the new year. It has a lovely cinnamon and vanilla base with delicious buttery sweet pumpkin. We use inspired-by scents and are not affiliated with any fragrance, body care or home goods designers, all trademarks are property of their respective owners. Any reference to the brand names are made strictly for scent character comparison and not to be confused with the originals despite how similar they are in a side-by-side comparison. ORDERING INFO: Foremost, if you would prefer a different scent than what is chosen for this respective sabbat, please review our scent list below and note your scent preference in the box provided. Each potpourri is made-to-order, please allow 3-5 days MAX for your order to ship. We let the potpourri sit in a glass jar so it fully absorbs the scent so by the time you receive your order the scent has matured. What's included: 1) Potpourri sachet weighing 4.5-6oz. or a minimum of 3.75 cups with 5-7 sabbat and witchy goth-themed add-ins and a selenite blade. You will receive 1 of 2 styles for the dried bouquet. *We weigh our potpourri in cups as we feel that is a better way to visualize how much you will receive as some botanicals are very large but weigh little and vice versa. Flower petals weigh very little but are easily crushed. We strike a balance between providing you with your money's worth but without crushing your potpourri. While we make every attempt to provide a product that is nearly as identical to our images as possible, due to supply and demand, some minor substitutions may be made. Example: a different type of crystal pumpkin, crystals used for the wire-wrapped pentagram, and slight differences in the arrangement of the dried flower bouquets. ~~~*~~~Alternative Scents We Offer~~~*~~~ 1. Goth Lord of Anarchy type scent - black pepper, warm vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, & more. This is very close to the OG, but perhaps a bit milder in patchouli or black pepper. 2. Witchy Snow Fae type scent - fresh berries, sweet vanilla bean, & soft musk with a bit of mint. More simply put if pink bubblegum & candy floss had a baby. Very close to the OG. 3. Egyptian Dragon - a warm blend of myrrh & patchouli, subtle floral notes of rose & jasmine with a base note of woodsy musk.4. Dragon's Blood - a tree resin mixture comprised of subtle fresh orange & fruity grape notes, sensual clove, & rose with a woody patchouli base. 5. Nag Champa - a complex scent best described as powdery, sweet & floral, with musk. Top notes of black currant, mandarin, & black pepper meet middle notes of orange blossom & precious florals, lingering with base notes of musk, patchouli, vanilla, & sandalwood. 6. Mystical Moonlight Trail type scent - floral notes of rose, jasmine, violet, tuberose, ylang-ylang, lily of the valley, lilac and lavender, with bergamot, mandarin leaf, and coriander. Base notes are sandalwood, vetiver, oakmoss, vanilla, patchouli, amber, and musk for an earthy compliment. Very similar to the OG.7. Breath of Goddess type scent - This highly complex unisex scent contains neroli, sandalwood, Virginia cedar, Amalfi lemon, melony citrus, rose, ylang-ylang, vetiver, grapefruit, black pepper and so much more. Very similar to the OG.8. Wicked Spiced Green Apple - autumn spices comprised of ground cloves, cinnamon sticks, sunkissed oranges and warm vanilla cream coupling with tart green apple, and floral notes of violet, jasmine and rose. After purchase simply DM use an alternative scent if you wish it. ~*~ Potpourri Care Instructions ~*~ To ensure a long-lasting scent, store the potpourri in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. To use simply place your sabbat potpourri mix in a decorative vessel atop your mantel or altar, or wherever people tend to congregate in your home to serve as a unique decorative and conversation piece. Add your personal touch by arranging the themed add-ins and/or incorporating items of your own. You may notice powder as you do this--this is orris root, a natural fixative that 'grabs' onto the lovely scent so your potpourri has a long fragrant shelf life. Please note that some add-ins/decorative pieces/charms may have sterling silver components and will require occasional polishing as sterling silver naturally oxidizes. Use a soft cloth similar to a cheesecloth that has some texture but is still super soft and gently rub the surface. ~*~*~*~ ~*~ Much to do about potpourri: Why Cure? ~*~ We strike a balance between traditional curing which can take several weeks vs. working with porous botanicals that rapidly absorb the oils holding onto them longer. Essentially, potpourri is a combination of solids with various porosities. Some botanicals retain essential and/or fragrance oils very well. Some do not. So, to prevent these volatile oils from evaporating into the air, we need to add a fixative. A fixative is anything that has the capacity aka surface area and porosity, to absorb the oils and retain them. By letting the botanicals sit with the fixative, one can achieve a much stronger and longer-lasting scent. So, when we ship your order, it's had several days to sit and marinate before you display it. So, you have a product that has fully absorbed the scent! We only use natural botanicals & root powders as a fixative. This is why there is a tiny amount of fine dust/powder that can settle at the bottom. Do not dump it. It's holding onto your yummy scent! Patience is key, and we're doing the work of the patience for ye! ~*~*~*~*~ We have some sensitivities, and maybe you do too!
