Macintosh Portable M5126 Backlit EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION Original Unmodified

Description: M5126 Backlit in Excellent WORKING Like-new condition. I purchased this computer new. It was used for several years, then stored, with batteries removed, indoors in a climate-controlled environment. The plastic exterior and interior surfaces of the computer frame, and the black fabric of the suitcase bag, are all unfaded and look like new. There are no cracks or dings. The Apple logos are colorful. In addition to the video, the linked cloud folder also contains many additional photos with captions. There have been no modifications. It's just like it came from Apple. If you are a collector or a museum curator, this specimen might suit your needs. Two expansion cards are installed:1. A 4 MB RAM expansion card; and2. A MODEM card. A third expansion card is included; it is an original Apple Factory 1 MB RAM expansion card. BATTERY: Fully functional original battery with new (May 24) EnerSys Cyclon cells as originally installed by Apple. DISPLAY & BACKLIGHT: All pixels working, no detectable dead pixels; backlight is uniform; No "tunnel vision". Display looks the same as when new. HARD DRIVE: Original Conner model CP3045 40MB HDD (aka "Apple Hard Disk 40SC"), sounds & works normally. SUPER DRIVE (floppy disk drive): Completely functional, inserts & ejects discs, reads and writes normally, like new. KEYBOARD: Completely functional, like new. TRACKBALL: Completely functional, like new. THINGS THAT ARE NOT PERFECT (here is everything that I know of that is not perfect):1. Sound plays thru headphones but not speaker.2. One crack & one chip in the edge of the original battery housing.3. Cover for MODEM phone jack opening (small plastic snap-in cover): the spring tangs are broken off (you will receive all of the parts in a bag; they could be glued back together). Note, the cover is currently not installed because there is a MODEM installed. 4. Two of the four "feet" on the suitcase are missing. There are pictures of all above listed imperfections, either in this ebay listing or on the cloud at the link above. You will receive everything that was originally included with the computer from the Apple factory, as listed on the Apple Factory Packing List (included), and as shown in the photos, except for the following:1.
