Description: For sale is an absolutely stunning Madame Alexander Cissy doll fancy gown. This is the first year mermaid gown Madame Alexander produced for the doll. They produced them in 1955 in this mauve color, 1956 in the black velvet and 1957 in the purple velvet. I have all three gowns. This sale is just for the first year mauve gown. This first year gown is done in taffeta with a tiny zipper in the back, with cellophane ribbon trim at the neckline. The sash is original and included with its original jewel piece. It's in excellent condition. Included is the original flounced torso slip with attached panties. The only flaws are the faded madame Alexander tag at the collar and two or three rust spots down near the base of the gown pictured. The spots are very small and very hidden by the folds.
