The sensor just bolts on at the battery terminal and then the RJ connector plugs directly into the inverter BTS port. There is nothing to adjust or set up. When used with the appropriate Magnum Remote Display, it allows viewing of the actual battery temperature reading. These sensors are commonly referred to as an RTS (Remote Temperature Sensor) OR BTS (Battery Temperature Sensor).This Battery Temperature Sensor prevents undercharging batteries in cold weather & overcharging batteries in hot environment conditions.
