About the Author Norman WrightHe is a certified bereavement trauma specialist and trauma therapist from the National Crisis Center. He currently focuses on grief and trauma counseling, and grief recovery seminars that can be applied to the community at large. He has visited New York five times since 9/11 to conduct local grief recovery seminars on-site, and also served in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana. He is also well known as a licensed professional therapist in the field of marriage, family, and children. In addition to trauma counseling, he conducts seminars on childrearing, recovery from loss in life, and enriching marriage, and he is a pioneer who laid the foundation for the field of pre-marital counseling in the United States. He graduated from Westmont College, received master's degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary and Pepperdine University, and received honorary doctorates from Western Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary and Biola University. He taught at Biola University, and served as director and associate professor of psychology at Biola University's Marriage, Family, and Children's Counseling School, director and associate professor of Christian education at Talbot Theological Seminary. He is currently a research professor of Christian education at the same institution and has run a private counseling office for over 40 years.
