Author Biography Dr. Aparna Govil Bhasker is a laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon. She heads Dr. Aparnas - Laparoscopy & Bariatric Surgery Centre in Mumbai, India. She is also affiliated with some of the best hospitals in Mumbai. She is committed to long term care of patients undergoing bariatric surgery. She is an alumnus of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sewagram, India. She has a keen interest in clinical research and has obtained a diploma in Principles and Practice of Medical Research from Harvard Medical School. She has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals, co-authored a silver book on sleeve gastrectomy and authored a number of chapters in various surgical books. She is an executive committee member of Obesity and Metabolic Surgical Society of India (OSSI), Association of Medical Consultants (AMC) Mumbai and Indian Medical Association (IMA), Mumbai West. She is an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences.
