Description: Martin Handcraft Standard Alto Silver Plate-112559 Matching Serial neck and body. The body and neck are in good functional and physical shape. There is a ding/small dent on the bow that I was mostly able to push out (see photos) and there are various minor dings on the neck and body. Silver plate coverage is ~90% on body with wear on the palm keys/low Eb and C keys--no gold wash remaining--neck has more plating wear. Body receiver screw is brass-no plating. No gold wash is present/remains on the horn inner bellbas was typical from the factory. No obvious past factory solder work. Plays decently well on a mix of rivet and replacement nylon resonator tan leather pads. The horn could use a proper set up/polish and I'm sure a few pads but does play through some leaks from low Bb to High F. The octave key pearl is well worn but all the other key pearls and neck strap ring show little wear. Quick correction from the video...112k dates this Martin Handcraft Standard to 1934-1935. Includes a period correct original Martin case in decent functional but well worn shape. The horn body/neck and case only are included in sale and the body will be packed to ensure no damage to the octave key. Thanks for looking.
