Marx O Gauge Plastic #400 0-4-0 Steam Freight Set

Description: Here is a nice postwar Marx O gauge #400 electric powered freight train with 4-wheel plastic cars. The engine is an 0-4-0 AC powered reversible electric #400 in black plastic. Runs great forwards and reverse (see the video for my bench test of the engine). One flaw is that the headlight did not light, but I do see a bulb up in there, so perhaps just burnt out or a loose wire. Then there is a New York Central tender in black with white lettering. Then a 715100 blue New York Central gondola with white lettering. Lastly is an orange New York Central caboose with black lettering and striping. The cars are all plastic cars with 4 stamped metal wheels on metal axles and with riveted plastic knuckle type couplers. The problems - engine has a chunk out of the cowcatcher, gondola has one broken coupler, tender had one of the simulated side frames broken off and reglued (all of these are shown in the pics). A nice little freight train for around the Christmas tree, or on the layout, or perhaps to add to your Marx collection! Photos show everything from all 6 sides, with a yardstick in the shots for size reference, plus closeups of the motor and the damaged areas indicated.
