Description: This is a nice glass eye Redhead drake decoy from the Mason Factory (1896-1924), Detroit, Michigan. The decoy has seen wear and tear, (retriever training from the bill damage?), probably from many excursions. The patina on the decoy makes for an intriguing story. It needs a good home. The paint seems to be well preserved but also well worn. The body and paint is scuffed and worn. It includes some wood losses on the bill, the top of the head, and generally. The paint appears to be original, and still visible, with a red head, black breast, grey back, white underside, and black tail. The bird has old nail holes on its base. Measurements (roughly): Length: 13 8/16" Width: 5" Height: 6 3/16"
