This WORKS for me and MY family.Replaced my older Masterbuilt, and not disappointe10 Jan 21After 8 years of faithful service, my old Masterbuilt Electric Turkey Fryer (round pot with digital temperature and timer) finally gave up the ghost. So I looked and found the XL Fryer, and bought it directly from Masterbuilt. The first basket was mis-shaped and wouldn't set on the ledge, but customer service sent me a second basket very quickly. Come Christmas time, we couldn't find a smaller Turkey for just the two of us, we happened to get a 20 pounder. That wouldn't have fit in my older fryer but it fit in just perfectly. As always with a new unit, I'm learning where to put my thermometers to best measure the oil temperatures as well as the meat temperature, but even without that the bird came out great.
