Description: Invisible Landscapes by Edgar Lee Masters. Published by The Macmillan Company, New York, 1935. Very good, first edition book in very good dust jacket. Dark teal cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and graphics on front panel and spine. Spine is sunned as are outermost board edges. External page edges are age-toned and with light foxing. Upper edge of FFEP has two tiny pinpricks, likely from a staple. Half-title page has slight rust-stain, likely from the staple effect of the facing page. Text pages are age-toned, else internally clean. Text block is snug. Dust jacket spine and fore-edge folds are heavily sunned. Front and back panels of dust jacket are soiled overall, more so on the front panel. Very minimal chipping along edges at head and tail of jacket spine. Lower front fore-edge corner has a 3/4" closed vertical tear along the fold; lower back fore-edge corner has a 3/8" closed vertical tear along the back fore-edge fold. The lower edge of front panel has a 1/4" closed vertical tear close to the spine. All fore-edge corners are slightly rubbed with a small amount of loss. Both corners of the front inside flap have been clipped, there is a stamped price of $2.00 on the lower edge of front inside flap. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition descriptions. Additional photos available at your request.
