Description: Offered for sale is a hand-built Mata Ortiz pottery jar. It was hand coiled and polished to an almost perfectly symmetrical body, which is decorated by carefully drawn and painted design forms. The potter has lightly scratched onto the bottom, "Not for food use/ May poison food/ Mexico TM." There is a scuff mark on one side which I've not attempted to remove. The jar is 6 inches in diameter and 4 1/2 inches high. Shipping is by USPS Priority insured, and there is no handling charge. I invite you to view other items I have listed.
