Description: MAX SAVY This work by Max Savy is a gem and a bargain by an artist who is highly-listed in France. I feel this is one of Savy’s most available paintings of this setting which he did many times but rarely in this smaller size. This fabulous 8 x 10 painting on wood is unusual because it has a cloudydreary sky and yet this work pops. It is also the first Savy I have acquired that is on wood. Other Savy's I've had and sold were on canvas and were much largerand more costly. The linen is clean and there are some friendly vintage scratcheson the 13 x 15 frame but they do not at all detract from the presentation of a rustic setting.
