Description: "Mayapples" Stiil Life Watercolor Gouache Painting, Gantner (?)This still life was painted in Cincinnati around 1960 at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. A group of faculty and students all painted the same bowl of mayapples as a project about personal style/impression. This painting is signed but unfortunately I cannot find any information about the artist other than I believe the last name to be Gantner. (I know the story behind it as my dad was an instructor there at the time and I asked him about it. Our family has his painting of the still life, as well.)The painting is newly matted to 20"x 16"; the work itself is 15"x 9". It is shown in a frame however, I usually send artwork unframed as the price to mail a framed piece is much more expensive. If a buyer wants it sent framed, I can do this but the postage would be more than shown. Just message me if that is what you want and I will figure out the cost for you. I would only charge what it costs me to mail. Local pickup is available.
