Description: For those who are familiar with my work, I have taken a couple of months off and am now building all the cases to fit models of McIntosh again. Just needed to recharge the old body. I can build cabinets in Cherry for $350 ,Mahogany for $365, Sapele for $380 or American Walnut for $395. The larger Amplifier cases add $20 Lucite clear tops add $65 dollars and exotic hardwoods add material cost at current market prices. Basically, I build the cabinet for $200 in labor and cost of materials. All cases are made to order and take 30 working days to build. Dye and then mineral stained, two coats sanding sealer and three coats nitrocellulose flat lacquer. Please read my feedback, going back five years building these. If you want to order, please reach out to me and I will create a listing specific to your needs.ThanksDennis I have owned McIntosh since the Mid-sixties so in building these cabinets that has always been my focus. This will be the last summer I think now building these. Father time is catching up.I have pigeon-holed some panels over the years for one off Mac cases. Mostly imported hardwoods, silly expensive but, it is the reality. In my day these hardwoods had no value and were secondary options. Now these countries do not want to give up their treasures unless the price is substantial.I have spectacular panels in Satine (bloodwood), Chechen,Puruvian Fiddleback Walnut, Morado (santos rosewood), Jatoba,Canarywood,Concalo Alves, Osage Orange and others. If you are interested in a one-off cabinet for that special piece you are welcome to reach out to me.
