The Soundsmith Strain Gauge Cartridge System requires 2 x 24V power supplies, we cannot supply them in a single case as there is not enough room inside to fit all our wonderful electronic wizardry. You are therefor purchasing 2 units each supplying 24V DC to plug directly into the Strain Gauge unit. Removing the switch mode power supplies from a system will often astonish customers when they hear the sonic improvements. Hi David, I got the power supply today for my QuteHD and it sounds fabulous. A significant improvement! I also have the dac connected to an Empirical Off Ramp 4. The power supply is designed and built in the UK and 100''s have been sold. The design has been awarded a Hi-Fi Choice recommended award TWICE. We have improved the design by fitting the new Oyaide gold plated audiophile DC plug which fits the Chord DAC perfectly. This new DAC also has an earth tag fitted on the rear of the case, our PSU has an earth wire to attach to the tag to improve grounding and in turn sound quality.
