Description: This is an attractive cover sent from London, U.K., to Cannstatt, Wurttemberg, Germany, on March 12, 1861! The sender was an Edward Corry, a mechanical engineer working out of 8, New Broad Street! The addressee was a Madame Weismann! To continue, outside of a few, shorter perfs at its upper, right side, the lilac, 6-pence, GB Victoria(SG 69), is in fine condition! The London District, bar numeral cancel, "5" is quite fine. The square-shaped, London date stamp at the back is very fine! There is an auxiliary mark, a red, "P(aid)," in an oval from a Belgian post office. There is another, red, auxiliary mark(3/13/61) indicating that the mail was incoming from England to Aachen, Germany. From Aachen, the mail was sent to Stuttgart, Germany, arriving there on the 14th. From there, it looks to have been put on a train to Cannstatt, Wurttemberg, arriving later that same day, and received two cancels from what looks like a Wurttemberg T.P.O.(?). Lastly, as for the envelope, itself, it's in pretty fine condition! It does have some stains here and there. The back flap is intact, though. Minor imperfections aside, this is still a neat British, Victoria-era, cover sent to Wurttemberg in 1861!
