Description: This Humpty Dumpty bank's design is based on one of the 19th-century models made by Shepard Hardware Co., of Buffalo, New York. The bank is operated by placing a coin in the clown's hand and then pressing a lever on his back, causing his arm to lift and place the coin on his tongue. The clown's tongue rolls in, he swallows the coin, and his eyes move. Made of heavy cast iron, weighing in at 6lbs. This example is in perfectly fine working condition. The paint is magnificent and has a few minor paint chips and scratches for it's age.
