Description: Hello and welcome to my auction for a Meissen Girl with Shovel and Small Bouquet Figurine. Beautifully crafted by the skilled Meissen artisans in Germany in the 20th Century, this lovely young girl is wearing a classic colorful dirndl in shades of red and green and gardening with her wooden handled shovel. The thoughtful expression on her face transports the viewer to the romance and beauty of the pastoral German countryside. The figurine has the Meissen mark on the bottom. She measures approximately: 5 3/4 inches tall by 2 inches wide (at the widest point) by 2 1/2 inches deep (at the deepest point). The figurine is in excellent pre-owned condition with the exceptions of a small dark chip on the girl's wrist, a missing chipped leaf on the bouquet and a small chip on the handle of the shovel.
