This chain necklace belonged to a family member who is no longer with us, and their next of kin gave it to us to do as we wished with it... and since we're not really ones for flashiness and what have you, I've decided to auction it off to see what I can get for it. The chain appears to be in good condition but may exhibit some minor signs of wear on it; on account that it was kept in storage with several other pieces of jewelry which I'm still currently in the process of listing. I've seen similar chains like this sell for an upwards of $100 or more... the only thing is that I'm not sure exactly what the composition of this chain is (that is, if it's real gold, or just plated costume jewelry and whatnot). There is a small leaf like plate that's been hooked up to the clasp which has an inscription that reads LJ24KGL. I can't say for sure if that 24K is referring to karats or not... but it's there and worth mentioning for the sake of accuracy to this listing. Also, the length of the chain (with the clasp opened and spread out flat) is approximately twenty-six inches (i.e. 26") long; more or less... give or take. I've also noticed a tiny gap at the lobster claw closure (see picture #9) but it doesn't seem to affect the hook up/enclosure process at all; once the other half of the chain is set into that link it stays there.
