Description: (MEH1?) MERIT 8" SQUARE SALAD PLATE OCCUPIED JAPAN PINK ORCHID OR LILY GOLD TRIM 1950'S This vintage 8" inch square salad plate is made by Merit, made in Occupied Japan (1940-1950's). I think the pattern is MEH1. This dish is white with gold trimmed scalloped edges. The side of the plate has a light and dark pink orchid or lily with green leaves. This plate is in good vintage-age condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some wear on the gold trim. There are several flecks of gold paint on various parts of the plate.
