Description: I just received a shipment from Guerrero with lots of Coconut masks and Coconut figures.... This figure is a Happy Mermaid wearing a crown and her body is covered in hand painted images of traditional Pueblo life. Each figure begins with 1/2 a dried coconut shell for the head and a Canvas body. A gesso like coating is applied to the surface and then the colored enamel pigments are hand painted giving each mask a high gloss finish... There is a hole at the top of each so you can string some twine and hang it on the wall. They are lots of fun and quite whimsical. Perfect for the collector of Mexican Folk Art.... She measures; 15 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches deep.
