See below for complete information on the condition of this beautifully-preserved classic issue Long term storage in a Mylar bag with an acid-free boarduntil submission to CGC in July of 2023! This issue was bagged and boarded since purchase and (since 1990, when I learned about the superior results attainable with archival storage products and moved my entire collection into those products) it was preserved in a thick archival Mylar bag with a heavy-weight acid-free board, and stored in my smoke-free, pet-free, climate-controlled home. It was removed from its Mylar bag for the first time to be graded by CGC!! I submitted it to CGC to be graded and encased and it was returned, with an 9.8 Grade, in September of 2023. This copy, both before and after processing by CGC, NEVER has spent a single day in an attic, basement or storage unit, (and it NEVER will as long as I own it!) Since I received it from CGC it has been stored in, and it will be shipped to its new owner in, its CGC-issued protective polybag.Thanks to careful handling, and long-term storage in Mylar, and despite turning 45 YEARS old in 2024, this issue STILL looks BEAUTIFUL, especially in its CGC case with a Universal Label displaying its 9.8 grade, and specifying that it still has WHITE pages!! Note that the photos used in this listing are not stock images. They are images of the exact copy being offered for sale. The photos show the covers, the CGC Grade and evaluation details, and all the corners, edges and ends of its CGC holder that's in brand new condition. The last photo shows it back in its CGC-issued protective polybag, awaiting shipment to its new owner. Check out other CGC-graded copies available for sale or recently sold on eBay, compare their pix to the ones in this listing, and you will see for YOURSELF that this is a particularly GREAT looking copy - WELL deserving the 9.8 grade that it earned!!SPECIAL NOTE about this issue's CGC Holder: ALL CGC-graded comics pass a Quality Control Inspection before being shipped out, but CGC Holders CAN pass Quality Control with various minor imperfections. Those imperfections range from imprecise centering within the Holder, to bits of dust or other tiny particles ending up INSIDE the Holder, to excessive Newton Rings (that shimmering rainbow effect that can be seen when a Holder is tilted under a strong light source) to small scuffs or scratches on the exterior - or interior - of the Holder (if every Holder and every mounting WITHIN the Holder had to be PERFECT, CGC would have to raise the price for their service substantially). THIS CGC Holder came back with a couple of small and light scuff marks, plus a small particle sealed inside the front of the Holder - located over the letter"R" in the word "EARTH" along the bottom edge of the cover. It can be seen in the photos accompanying his listing. I felt that this very unusual situation was preferable to a LOT of the other imperfections that these Holders sometimes display.
