In excellent condition for age with a very shiny heavily plated surface the dome measures 16" long, 13" wide 8" tall (11" with handle.) the mark on the bottom was used by John Harrison & Sons between 1843 and 1865.In excellent condition with minor wear and very clean inside, the silver layer is fully intact. the handle sits on an oval base and unscrews from the inside and can be removed for easy cleaning. About The maker....This Meat Dome is an example of the highest quality fine metal work from Electro Plated Nickel Silver made by John Harrison & Sons at their Norfolk Works 116-122 Scotland Street, Sheffield. Harrison was an important maker as they were the first Sheffield manufacturer to take out an electro platers license (4th granted in the UK) from patent holder Elkington of Birmingham.
