Description: This one of a kind sculpture was made by Clyde Harwick, an amateur sculptor that I couldn’t find any information about. I have one other sculpture he made listed for sale, of a bird in flight. The piece is unsigned, and I only know the artist because I purchased it at an estate auction. The sculpture weighs 8 lbs. 11 oz. and is 27” tall. The base of the sculpture is in a 7” wide brass bowl, which has been painted or given a green finish. The bowl is filled with small rocks and clear resin, giving the appearance of a water filled planter. The top of the sculpture has three flowers, totaling about 11-13.5” wide/deep, depending on where you measure. The base has a lot of various size leaves growing out of it, which really look more like snake plant leaves than Bird of Paradise leaves. It’s overall in good condition for it’s age and size. There is some finish wear around the bowl, and a couple leaves might be bent, but it’s hard to tell. I wiped down the clear resin around the edges of the bowl, but cleaning the middle would be very difficult. _gsrx_vers_827 (GS 7.0.13 (827))
