(The production opened March 26th, 1964 and ran for 1348 performances.) ..... The musical starred MIMI HINES, who had accepted the nearly impossible role of replacing BARBRA STREISAND as "Fanny Brice (Streisand left the production to star in the London production of "Funny Girl").
