Minton Ceramic Tile William Wise Country Life Series 1879

Description: Here's a very nice early tile for your home decor...This tile is part of artist William Wise Country Life series, and is titled “Picking Fruit”. The tile is marked on the back “Mintons / China Works / Stoke on Trent / Made in England” and it also carries the factory stamp. It is marked No. 1801.It is a 6” x 6” tile, transfer printed in brown against a cream background. The details and contrasts is very good. There are some little chips on the face of the tile which are shown in the accompanying photos, but nothing that is terribly offensive to the eyes. There is a chip on the lower left and upper left corner, and one on the upper right corner. There’s also a little chip on the right side ~ 1 ½” above the lower right corner. There are also some chips on the backside which are also shown in the photos, but these are not seen when the tile is displayed. The tile itself is not cracked, broken or repaired. Please review all pictures carefully as they are considered part of the item description.
