Description: THE YOUNG GUY FROM FUGGOTH, Eldritch Poems and Limericks by M.M. MOAMRATH, edited by JOE PUMILIA and BILL WALLACE. Zadok Allen: Publisher, 1997. 1st edition. Pamphlet, new, obtained directly from the publisher. Moamrath is the brilliant creation of Pumilia and Wallace, allegedly a contemporary and blatant (if inept) imitator of H.P. Lovecraft, who wrote for such marginal pulps as ARYAN ATROCITY ADVENTURES, MILDEWED ROMANCES, and WEIRD TRAILS, THE MAGAZINE OF SUPERNATURAL COWBOY STORIES. He is most remembered -- or reviled -- for his supernatural western, "Riders of the Purple Ooze," which has been many times reprinted (see Mike Resnick's SHAGGY BEM STORIES, or the Wildside "facsimile" of WEIRD TRAILS for April 1933). Here is a "scholarly" edition of his poetry, with learned annotations. Includes the famous limerick sequence, "The Young Guy from Fuggoth," which ends in the "Unfinished Limerick." Many Moamrathians, in imitation of their idol, have gone mad trying to come up with the last line. Great stuff. Some of the finest Lovecraftian humor ever written. A must for all Lovecraft fans! Always happy to combine shipments on multiple wins.
