Mopar B Body 68-70 NON AC Firewall Insulation with Pins Charger Roadrunner DMT

Description: We ARE the manufacturer..... Detroit Muscle Technologies This is NOT the inexpensive, shrink wrapped, low quality firewall insulation that's been the only thing available for years. This is our NEW, spectacular quality, correct shape, correct fit NON AC firewall insulation / sound deadener for 68-70 B bodies; Belvedere, Charger, Coronet, GTX, Roadrunner, Satellite. This is specifically for 68-70. 66-67 B body firewall insulation is slightly different. The rubber flap stapled to the bottom of the cardboard is wider on the 66-67 than the 68-70. Our firewall insulation pads are made from HEAVY, .100" solid black chipboard and 1-1/4" long fiber, yellow insulation. We improved the correctness by adding the piece of firm black rubber stapled to the lower edge of the large cardboard piece near the accelerator pedal area. It's attached with factory looking, stainless steel staples. After much investigation it appears this rubber flap had no important function. It appears it was just to cover an area of the firewall not covered by the cardboard insulation piece or the carpet. Almost like it was a fix that should have been accounted for in a larger cardboard piece. If someone knows different I would be interested in any information. NOTE: Again, 66-67 is slightly different. Have that in another listing.
