This program introduces additional techniques for using color in Bedfordshire lace with four new patterns; a bracelet, matching earrings, a wide edging, and a bookmark. In these patterns you will work tallies where each of the four threads is a different color, cucumber tallies between two trails, kiss stitches with extra twists to control where the pairs move, and use the roulette’ technique as an alternative to a plait. Detailed instructions are provided for working the four patterns, and as always, there is an additional pattern for extra practice; a butterfly in color! These instruction assume you know how to wind bobbins, make a pricking, and work the basic stitches; but starting and finishing, working plaits, picots, tallies, and a footside edge are all explained.
