She was the first female student to attend Brown University and served as the 11th President of Mount Holyoke College from 1900 to 1937. The photograph measures 4 ¾ x 3 ¾ inches, 2 very short closed tears at the bottom edge, faint soiling on verso otherwise in very good condition, An interesting photograph, it will be a nice addition to a Mount Holyoke reference library.
