These intended to work with 10" Knipex pliers wrench model 86-03-250 or similar with jaws less than 9mm wide. These clamps are black anodized for durability in the field, but it also does detract somewhat from the grip they offer. With an average male grip strength about 15nm of torque is possible on a 10mm shaft using these clamps. Your results will vary with conditions and grip strength.
