Myler / Parelli Cradle Shank w/ Sweet Iron Low Port Snaffle MB 04, Level 2 The MB 04 will rotate on the tongue and apply tongue pressure, however, it has a port that introduces some tongue relief to the horse. The port allows the horse to swallow and move his tongue when moving forward and relaxed, which acts as a release or reward. The mouthpiece is curved, wrapping around the bars and lips instead of pinching.Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation. The MB 04 provides an excellent transition from Level One to Level Two. It is suitable for a wide range of horses including green horses, experienced horses entering the Myler System, horses that have been ridden exclusively in a single-jointed mouthpiece, or horses that have not been ridden for a while needing re-schooling.The Cradle bit functions the same as the standard Myler Combination Bit with a few subtle differences. The braided noseband and knotted chin strap more closely simulate the knotted rope halters commonly used in the Parelli program and other Natural Horsemanship programs, providing a smooth transition from halter work to bit work. Like the Myler Combination Bits, the mouthpiece has a 1" slide before it reaches a stop, giving the horse an opportunity to respond to the rein pressure before the mouthpiece engages. The C2 and C3 cradles do not offer this feature.
